Directions

The fair site is the UW-Richland gymnasium, located at the west end of the campus next to Melvill Hall.  I point that out because Melvill Hall, I think, is the facility on campus with the best/most visible signage and can be an identifying mark for you.  Perhaps some directions will be of use to you:

 

UW-Richland is located immediately adjacent to U.S. Highway 14 on the western edge of Richland Center.  One thing is for sure:  you can’t get to us without driving on Highway 14.

 

Approaching from the west (LaCrosse area):  About ¼ mile after you enter the city limits, you’ll notice a cluster of buildings relatively close to the highway on the left:  that’s us!  Take the first left hand turn into our west parking lot and you’re here.  Note: The high school is set back off the highway before you get to UW-R.

 

Approaching from the east (Madison area):  You’ll need to drive through virtually all of the city of Richland Center.  Highway 14 bypasses the downtown area and provides a clearer “shot” to us.  You’ll cross the Pine River Bridge, just past Krouskop Park, which is about ¼ mile from the UWR campus.  If you turn into our Central parking lot (the second possible turn into the campus), keep driving until you reach the west lot; or, don’t turn into the first (Central) driveway; stay on Hwy 14 until you reach the next drive and then you’re on the west end.

 

Please use our west parking lot; do not use the parking area on the far west side of the gym since that is parking reserved for patrons of the Symons Recreation Complex.
